Harry Mangezi from the Aids Committee Zimbabwe
played the LOVE.check game at 6 middle schools, where the game
was received with enthusiasm, a lot of concentration and information.
‘This educational tool has really challenged to talk about
hiv and aids, about being faithful, abstinence and risks at
young age’ says Harry. ‘We would like to have many
more copies to distribute among peer educators, who at their
turn can introduce these useful games in their groups’.
Nienja Brouwer went recently to Zimbabwe
and Malawi for Hhumanlink and writes: ‘ The six organizations
we worked with in Zimbabwe knew already the concept of ‘memory’
and showed a lot of interest in the method learning through
playing by using the LOVE.check game on topics as hiv and
aids. The participants were very relaxed while playing and
there was a lot of fun’.
In Malawi three organizations from Hivos were introduced to
this LOVE.check game and participated enthusiastically.
Also the cd ‘The Story of Bobo’ was received with
enthusiasm and fits very well in the existing programs on
education on hiv/aids.
Resy writes from Zimbabwe: ‘the LOVE.check
game and the cd The Story of Bobo spread as oil on water.
Many people want to use these in their educational activities.
It’s really fantastic!’ |
