The mainadress of our website has changed from www.lovecheck.org
to www.webfoundation.nl
The WEB.foundation strives to deliver a clear and understandable
message to children about hiv/aids and sexuality. The foundation
supports the young, adults and community workers by communicating
with them about the problems surrounding hiv/aids.

The WEB.foundation aims to stimulate worldwide communication about
hiv/aids by educating young people before they become sexually active
whilst also promoting open communication amongst people directly
affected by hiv/aids. It is vitally important that children, before
they become sexually active, know that they must and can protect
themselves against aids.

To
achieve this goal, as well as to promote the dialogue about
hiv/aids, the WEB.foundation has developed the memory-based
LOVE.check and FAMILY.matters games with culturally specific
visual images. In addition, the animation ‘The Story
of Bobo’ was developed to discuss not only the hiv-virus
but also the course of medication that is involved. These
tools help health workers to support children, adolescents
and adults to provide education through play and thereby teaching
them to talk about a wide variety of topics related to hiv/aids.
The memory-based game LOVE.check consists of a number of different
versions, being utilised in numerous countries throughout
Asia, Africa and the Netherlands. The memory-based game FAMILY.matters
has been specifically developed for the Netherlands and Southern
Africa. The animations ‘The Story of Bobo’, ‘Be
HIV free’ and ‘Be AWARE, take CARE’ have
been used throughout the world and have been translated into
8 languages. Regular studies are performed to ensure the effectiveness
of each of these tools.
The WEB.foundation wishes to give people the tools
so they can bring change and improvement in their life.
